Lift & Co. to Train Cannabis Staff for Calgary-based National Retailer Spiritleaf

Specialty cannabis franchisor Spiritleaf to provide Lift & Co’s turn-key retail training certification to franchise owners and managers of retail stores across Canada

CALGARY and TORONTO, September 26, 2018 – Lift & Co. Corp. (“Lift & Co.” or the “Company”) (TSXV:LIFT) today announced that Spiritleaf, a specialty recreational cannabis retailer under Inner Spirit Holdings Ltd., will onboard the Lift & Co. Cannabis Retail Training Certification (the “Certification”) to help prepare franchise partners to responsibly sell cannabis this October.

Lift & Co.’s Certification was developed in partnership with MADD Canada. The Certification fuses Lift & Co.’s years of experience educating cannabis consumers and its millions of cannabis product data points with MADD Canada’s recognized expertise in responsible use to provide specialized training for retailers across Canada.

“We’re thrilled to provide training to a retailer like Spiritleaf as they prepare to educate Canadian consumers and launch their brand across Canada,” said Matei Olaru, CEO, Lift & Co. “The Certification brings the Lift & Co. platform to life, and we’re proud to provide this comprehensive training to frontline retailers across the country this October.”

“We are committed to ensuring our franchise partners have the necessary tools and information available to deliver the best service to our customers,” said Darren Bondar, President & CEO, Spiritleaf. “Lift & Co.’s Certification helps our retail teams be well-prepared to talk skillfully about cannabis in a way that is responsible, with a strong level of product knowledge.”

Spiritleaf employees will receive in-depth category and product information, as well as education on public health and harm reduction, law and liabilities, and working with different cannabis customers to ensure cannabis is sold responsibly. The Certification is delivered exclusively through Lift & Co.’s retail education platform in a series of online lessons, as well as in-person instructor-led training.

Complementing the retail training, Spiritleaf’s Calgary flagship store will also use the Lift & Co.’s Cannabis Concierge (the “Cannabis Concierge”). The Cannabis Concierge is a tablet-based product discovery tool that will be available in-store to assist both staff and consumers in identifying appropriate products based on a consumer’s inputted information, such as experience level with cannabis and desired use for the product, and backed by Lift & Co.’s database of user brand and strain reviews.

Lift & Co.’s Certification is also being used to train provincial cannabis retail staff in Prince Edward Island and Nova Scotia. Spiritleaf is the second private retailer to onboard the Certification, alongside Manitoba-based Delta 9, which Lift & Co. previously announced last month.

About the Lift & Co. Cannabis Retail Training Certification

The Cannabis Retail Training Certification is a turn-key solution for both government and private retailers as either a two-day “boot camp” certification or a five-day intensive course. MADD Canada’s curriculum and education materials are developed in consultation with Lift & Co. and provided exclusively through Lift & Co.’s retail education platform.

The Certification complements the previously announced Cannabis Concierge tool.

Information about the Certification and the Cannabis Concierge, and consultation requests, can be found at Lift & Co.’s website here.
